Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Vectolab for using Parlena. By using the app, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Parlena.

What Parlena is

Parlena is a language-learning app. You practice by stepping into scenes and having conversations with AI characters, by voice or text, and receive AI-generated coaching afterward. We may add, change, or remove scenes and features as the app evolves.

Subscriptions

Parlena is free to start. Parlena Pro unlocks unlimited scenes and lifelike character voices, and is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and auto-renew unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — not through us. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by the store.

Acceptable use

Parlena lets you create your own scenarios and, optionally, publish them for others. You are responsible for what you create. You agree not to create, publish, or share content that is:

• illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• abusive, hateful, harassing, or that sexualizes minors;
• designed to deceive, spam, or harm other people.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, at our discretion. By publishing a scenario, you give us permission to host and display it to other users within the app.

AI-generated content

Conversations, translations, corrections, and coaching in Parlena are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Treat them as language practice, not as professional, legal, medical, or travel advice. Always use your own judgment, especially for anything that matters in the real world.

No warranty

Parlena is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet a specific learning goal.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vectolab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Parlena. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app. Continuing to use Parlena means you accept the updated terms.
